From July 10 to September 3, experience the chilling history of Sherbrooke with Radcliff, an immersive audio journey, departing from the porte des Fabriques on Marquette Street, tracing the last execution by John Radcliff at the turn of the 20th century. Equipped with a headset (available for loan at the Sherbrooke Tourist and Resident Welcome Centre), follow a virtual guide through the Magog River gorge, solving riddles along the way. The adventure climaxes at Winter Prison, one of Sherbrooke’s oldest buildings, where six hangings occurred between 1880 and 1931. Is it haunted?

Sherbrooke is a prime destination for golfers, with a total of five beautiful courses. One was recognized by several golf magazines as one of the best semi-private golf courses in Quebec, another is the oldest 9-hole course in Canada, and a third one offers a breathtaking view with 36 holes to play. What’s more, one club offers a golf simulator where you can tee off year-round. Very few cities can boast so many golf courses!

The murals are one of Sherbrooke’s star attractions. They are giant works of art that mark the landscape of the downtown core, making Sherbrooke a true open-air art gallery. In total, 18 frescos each relate in their own way a facet of the city’s history. And, best of all, you can dine at the terrace bistro outdoors! This colourful space is great for meeting up with friends or family. Thanks to a festive summer program and occasional events! From June 20 to October 17, local vegetable farmers will be on site selling fresh produce from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The farmer’s market will be open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between June 7 and October 25.
