Three well-known producers from Île d'Orléans have successfully embarked on the production of spirits based on what grows on their land, from the field to the still. Cassis Monna & Filles recently unveiled its Blackcurrant Vodka, the Du Capitaine - Farm, Vinegar and Distillery produces a Blackcurrant Eau de vie and the Ste-Pétronille Vineyard is already renowned for its Grape Eau de vie. These new products are added to the already extensive range of wines, ciders, beers and other spirits made on Île d'Orléans.

With more than a hundred tourist attractions and services, Île d’Orléans can count on a dynamic business community. The Domaine Sainte-Famille and Domaine Steinbach cider factories as well as Resto de la Plage are now owned by young families. The Monna sisters (Cassis Monna & Filles) have just acquired La Boulange and renamed it La Midinette, turning it into a fancy bakery and refreshment bar. Boulangerie Blouin acquired Buffet Maison, which offers lunch boxes and other cooked meals. And these are just a few examples of the projects that abound in the island's tourism businesses.
