Les Glaces du Fjord is composed of two ice fishing villages built on the ice of the majestic Saguenay Fjord. Starting in mid-January, nearly 1,000 colourful cabins take up residence in the Baie des Ha! Ha!, which is transformed into an incredible ice fishing kingdom. Take part in this unique winter tradition for a day! Several companies offer cabin rentals, equipment and guiding services. An unusual activity in a unique setting to create family memories. Enjoy an ice fishing experience at the Glaces du Fjord in Saguenay (website available in French only).
There are options for all levels. Le Valinouet has 100% natural snow in abundance and diverse off-piste areas. Mont-Édouard offers an international caliber competition slope and a complete sector reserved for high-road skiing that is only accessible for independent non-motorized ascent using climbing skins or snowshoes. There is also Mont-Bélu: a resort near the town that offers evening skiing and breathtaking views of the ice fishing villages. For the more adventurous looking for powder, high-road areas are now available in L’Anse-Saint-Jean and Petit-Saguenay.
