Fort Ingall is a British field fortification built in 1839 during a little-known conflict with the United States: the Aroostook War. This historic site is the only one representative of this type of fortification in Quebec, despite its importance in the defense of Quebec’s territory. Discover one of the last vestiges of the war that defined the modern borders of Canada.

You can discuss the history of the site with soldiers of the 24th, attend firing demonstrations, visit exhibits presenting the results of archaeological digs, or even test the cannon!
