Inaugurated in 1995 in the former United States pavilion of Expo 67, one of Montréal’s architectural emblems, the Montréal Biosphère is located in Jean Drapeau Park, in the heart of urban nature. This museum dedicated to the environment explores major contemporary issues through art, science and citizen action. Exhibitions, art installations, immersive experiences and films invite visitors to linger in reflection. Walk up to the belvedere to enjoy the breathtaking view of downtown and the St. Lawrence River. The Biosphère is illuminated every evening following a set of rules aimed at better protecting biodiversity and the environment
